This visa can be applied and granted to prospective or current student who wishes to start or continue their study in Australia. The duration of visa can be granted from 1 to 5 years, in line with the duration of the enrolment for study in Australia.
The applicant must be 6 years or older, and must be enrolled in a full-time study course at a recognised education institution in Australia.

Parent of a student who is under 18 years old can apply for a Student Guardian visa to accompany their child/ren to Australia and stay with them during the course of their study.
